Minister’s Fellowship
At a previous church where Evelyn and I worshipped we had what was called a Minister’s Fellowship. After morning worship the congregation were given a precis of the sermon that had been given. We then met one evening during the following week with the minister where we had the opportunity to discuss the sermon and share one another’s views on how it related to our own experience.

Our minister Richard would be happy to do the same thing here if enough people expressed an interest.

Please let me know if you would like to have a Minister’s Fellowship at Caergwrle.

And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved.”
Mark 1:10-11

Beginning with Beloved

A Blessing

Begin here:

Is there any other word
needs saying,
any other blessing
could compare
with this name,
this knowing?

Comes like a mercy
to the ear that has never
heard it.
Comes like a river
to the body that has never
seen such grace.

Comes holy
to the heart
aching to be new.
Comes healing
to the soul
wanting to begin

Keep saying it
and though it may
sound strange at first,
watch how it becomes
part of you,
how it becomes you,
as if you never
could have known yourself
anything else,
as if you could ever
have been other
than this:
